Silver pied peafowl are a stunning, relatively new variety of peafowl, distinguished by their predominantly white plumage with patches of colored feathers, particularly on the neck and wings. They are a pattern mutation, not a color mutation, meaning the color pattern is the unique characteristic, not the color itself. The silver pied pattern emerged in the early 1990s in the United States, stemming from the White-Eyed peafowl bloodline.
